The intimacy of objects is a critical component of Jessica's work. Rather than an artwork that exists only in a white box, her works are social creatures that are meant to contain the mundane and sacred things we surround ourselves with.

COMMISSION WORK FOR YOUR HOME OR PROJECT
PROCESS
Each piece is unique and custom-made using a combination of wheel thrown and hand-built techniques. Three different clay bodies are available; porcelain, speckled (sand), and dark brown stoneware. Often these are left unglazed, burnished, or treated with oxides, rather than traditional glazes. Pigmented slip and underglazes provide a pop of color, and metallic finishes like palladium or even small amounts of 14k gold can be applied.
Dimensions: Kiln size dictates the maximum size per piece. In-house production is limited to 22” W x 30” H, but multiples can be arranged on a wall or bonded together for larger pieces.
